Introduction:
Each story we read is a possible award winner. You will decide which is the best selection. You should be paying attention to the message in the story, how it makes you feel, if you have a connection to the story and characters, and if the word choice is good. These things all make up good stories. Choose your favorite based on these ideas.

- Find seats (attendance)
- Goals (What, Why, How)
- Basic book information (Title, Cover, Author, Call number, Fiction/Non-fiction)
- Choose before reading, during reading, and after reading cards
- Read book while interspersing Turn and Talk with appropriate card at the appropriate time
- Class share or 3M debriefing activity
- Quick Simon Says (practice following directions)
- Book exchange (Tumble book)
