Plagiarism Webquest
Introduction:
Plagarism is one of a researcher's greatest enemies. Many student's don't even know what it is. The purpose of this webquest is to inform students on plagarisim and provide practice avoiding it.
Tasks/Goals:
Define plagiarism
Recognize it when you see it
Apply strategies which avoide plagarism (paraphrasing, summary, quotation)
Create a works cited sheet using online tools
Explain why it is important to understand plagarism
Process:
Task 1:
Pretest - What do you know about plagiarism? Take the pretest survey. 10 min.
Pretest
Task 2:
Go to Waunakee Middle School 's website on Copyright and Plagiarism, Waunakee MS . Scroll down to the Plagiarism section and read it for a definition and brief introduction. 15 min.
Task 3:
Pick up a packet and begin by defining plagiarism according to Waunakee MS. 5 min.
Task 4:
Typing

Take the survey on plagiarism. This is an anonymous survey and your answers can not be traced to you. Estimated time to complete - 5 min.

Conclusion:
